IEE for the Bolitoc Port Rehabilitation Project (2007)

The project is a load port rehabilitation project of the old pier in Brgy. Bolitoc, Sta Cruz, Zambales. It covers the rehabilitation of Bolitoc Port to stockpile, barge, ship load mineral ore and other bulk material ore for export. Other EIA studies for nearby industries served as the main source for secondary data. Air quality and noise sampling were conducted, in addition to flora and fauna survey. A marine biota survey was also conducted and marine water samples were also taken at the proposed pier area. Environmental management plans including a monitoring plan and matrix of mitigation and environmental management strategies were prepared for the rehabilitation project. The ECC was acquired in August 2007.

IEE for 12 MW Rice hull/Coal power plant for Bataan 2020 (2007)

Apercu prepared an Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) Report for Bataan 2020 Inc. in 2006. The Bataan 2020 project is a 12.5 MW Rice Hull Power Cogeneration Project in its paper mill plant compound in Samal, Bataan. A detailed assessment of the probable impacts of the project was undertaken. Foremost of this was the conduct of air quality modeling to assess the impacts to ambient air. Air quality and deep well water quality assessment were also conducted, as well as flora and fauna surveys. A public consultation was also conducted and was attended by DENR representatives, the Proponent, the preparers and stakeholders. Other key issues related to the power plant development were considered with significant impacts being identified for each phase of the project. Appropriate mitigation measures for the identified impacts were then formulated. ECC was acquired in 2007

IEE for the Petron Bataan Refinery Propylene Pipeline Project (2010)

Apercu prepared the Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) of the Petron Bataan Refinery Propylene Pipeline Project. The project involves the installation of a 5.5 kilometer pipeline from Petron Bataan Refinery to Philippine Polypropylene Inc.’s (PPI) property located in the PNOC-Alternative Fuels Corporation (PNOC-AFC) Complex. This is located in Limay and Mariveles, Bataan. The 2 major activities of the study were plotting the structures and households along the pipeline route that traversed Roman Highway and the conduct of public consultation. Additionally, water quality was characterized for the two freshwater bodies that was to be traversed by the pipeline. The pipeline ECC was acquired in September 2010.
